WHO WE ARE
At The Reel Project, Our Primary Mission is to accurately document the real (REEL) situation on the ground. This process helps us identify the most pressing goals, objectives, priorities, and needs of the communities we serve. Whether it is covering school fees, equipping a computer center, or providing basic facility improvements. TRP is committed to responding and assessing what is required at the moment, raising funds after each visit, and ensuring delivery of the necessary support. With representatives present on the ground, The Reel Project guarantees that identified needs are addressed effectively and responsibly.

MEDIA WITH A HUMANITARIAN PURPOSE
“TRP” The Reel Project is a multifaceted organization whose first mandate is to produce humanitarian films and media projects for various populations in need.

We produce educational and informative films that share critical knowledge with communities living in conflict zones. Our goal is to ensure that those directly affected have access to the information they need most.

Our mission includes empowering local communities by nurturing creativity, advancing education, and encouraging business aspirations. We work closely with the people where we film to ensure our presence contributes lasting value.

TRP’s Committment
When the international community declared Katanga Province in the DRC safe, The Reel Project began documenting a powerful story of return and renewal. Our goal was to encourage and inspire more than 22,000 refugees—who had endured years in a five-square-mile camp in Kampala, Zambia—to reclaim their homes and rebuild their lives. With nothing more than two handheld cameras, we captured their resilience and hope. Today, our commitment continues as we work to support children and families across Africa with the resources they need to thrive.
What We Learned
Our visits have shown us that in communities facing extreme poverty, it is neither possible nor extremely difficult to predict every need. Circumstances shift quickly, and urgent challenges continue to arise. This is why support is essential—to help us identify immediate and vital needs on the ground and provide the necessary supplies to meet them.
What We Represent
We look closely into the lives of the communities we film, seeking to understand their struggles and uncovering the needs that are often difficult to anticipate. By doing so, we ensure that support reaches where it is most urgently required.
